About Us
Founded in 1994, the purpose of the Education Foundation is to assist in the achievement of a superior public education program by developing and managing projects that support programs that meet the changing needs of the District and its students.

The foundation consists of community members, CUSD employees, and parents who are committed to providing quality programs and resources for district students.
Since 1994, the Castaic Ed Foundation has awarded over $500,000.00 in grants and gifts to the educators and school sites in the Castaic Union School District!

Grant Award Ceremony
The Castaic Education Foundation is proud to announce the awarding of seven educator grants, totaling $24,000.00, aimed at enhancing and enriching student learning across the Castaic Union School District. These grants, ranging from funding for compound microscopes to zen gardens and flexible seating for student wellness centers, reflect our commitment to supporting innovative educational initiatives. Among the exciting projects funded are the integration of Ozobot coding robots into curriculum, fostering hands-on learning experiences for students. We believe these investments will empower educators and inspire students, furthering academic excellence within the Castaic Union School District.
Annual Art Contest
Congratulations to Kylie Bennet, a talented fourth-grade student at Live Oak Elementary School, for winning the 2024 Annual Art Contest! Kylie's artwork beautifully captures the theme, "When I Look Out My Window," with creativity and imagination. Out of nearly 60 submissions received this year, Kylie's piece stood out for its artistic expression and interpretation of the theme. After careful consideration and using the rubric to confirm all required criteria, Kylie's artwork was selected among the 18 finalists for the final selection. We are incredibly proud of Kylie's achievement and applaud her artistic talent and dedication. Well done, Kylie!
Peter Sharp Endowment
In 2017 the Ed Foundation was the recipient of a large endowment from the Peter Sharp Trust. These funds will be used to provide support to our students each year in the areas of literacy, art and science.
